About Us

Having a library in Rollinsford has been a long-held dream of its residents. Since 1840, there have been hopes of creating a town library. It is the determination and inspiration of a young student, named RJ, that the creation of a Rollinsford library is becoming a reality. RJ’s commitment has inspired family; friends; and neighbors to join him in helping him realize his dream. It has been three short years since RJ first wrote to President George W. Bush asking for his help to build a hometown library. Since then, the new Friends of Rollinsford Public Library committee was created; a location for the library was secured; restoration was completed, and today, the library is open to the public. Funds for the library's maintenance and operation are being creatively raised through proceeds of projects such as:
