Donate to the Rollinsford Public Library

Dear Potential Donor,
The citizens of the Town of Rollinsford began their quest for a Public Library in 1840.  For 168 years townspeople have voted in favor of, and worked toward the creation of the Rollinsford Public Library.  At the Town Meeting in 2004 a ten year old boy named RJ Bolian stood up and asked the Town for a library.  His courage and persistence inspired many people to get involved in the process of building a public library from scratch.
In 2007 a handsomely renovated space in the historic Lower Mill was offered to the Library Trustees as a home for the Library. The view from the large, arched windows overlooks a gorgeous waterfall on the Salmon Falls River. The Library shares the Mill with a diverse and interesting collection of artists, businesses, shops and restaurants.  In this ideal location, the Library will become a long awaited cultural and informational center for Rollinsford.
Now, thanks to the dedication and hard work of many very devoted volunteers the long held dream of a library is being realized.  Dozens of people have given hundreds of hours of their time setting up the space as a library, cataloguing and covering thousands of books, and working to raise the funds needed to operate and maintain the Library.
All of the furnishings, books and many of the services needed to get the Library up and running have been donated. The creation of the Library has truly been a grassroots effort of which the community should feel very proud.
The library completely depends upon private donations for funding.  Please consider making a donation.
